Turning Financial Data into Actionable Insights for Service-Based businesses.
Knowledge is power—but in the fast-moving world of service-based businesses, it’s how you use that knowledge that counts.

With nearly 30 years of experience in advertising and related industries, I help professional service firms build effective systems, assess profitability, forecast financial performance, and navigate change with confidence.
Working Together
Whether you need on-going fractional CFO services or a quick-hit special project, I'm available to engage in a variety of ways.

Performance Analysis
In partnership with your existing bookkeeper, I'd provide a monthly review of financial activity, audit accuracy and measure performance against industry standard benchmarks.

Forecasting
I'd work with your leadership team to build effective forecasting models and provide updated forecasts monthly or quarterly.

Full Cycle
Full cycle accounting work for smaller clients, from AR & AP to reporting & forecasting. I'm here when you need a reliable partner to let you focus on growing your business.

Auditing
A one-time, in-depth audit to bring your books in line with GAAP and provide recommendations on process improvement to ensure you have clean ongoing records.

Change Management
For upcoming change in your business (merger, sale of business, rapid growth). A special short-term project to help guide you through the change, provide financial scenarios modeling, advise on change watchouts.

Operational Efficiency
I would review existing data on staff utilization, project management & resource planning tools. Making recommendations to increase efficiency and which tools & systems can help optimize utilization.
ABOUT
Hi. I'm Cindy Wade. If interested, here is a little bit about my background.
After short stints in other industries (manufacturing, chain restaurants), I found my niche in professional services by way of Wieden + Kennedy in 1996 (yes, I know that was a long time ago).
After 4 years and lots of learning, I took my skills to smaller advertising shops in Portland; a bigger fish in a smaller pond you might say. What this did for me is allow exponential growth and understanding of all aspects of a service-based business. How to measure time & material costing, what impact inefficient clients have on the bottom line, how to scale teams, how to plan for the future in a volatile, unpredictable business (if you’re reading this, you know well the lack of predictability).
I’ve been told by the right-brained folks in the industry that I have a special knack for communicating financial data in ways that make it easily translatable to future business actions.
I’ve served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer for NextNW (formerly Portland Advertising Federation) since 2013. Longest standing board member, if that means anything.
Let’s talk about how I may help you.
